Cornerstone is the name of my new "PhotoQuilt". It is a photograph I took while on vacation in Spain in April 2019. We were touring one of the many, many cathedrals and I snapped this shot. The play between the light and dark is what caught my attention.
The photograph was printed on a one yard panel of 100% quilters cotton (thank you Spoonflower!). Prior to printing I did adjust the colors as I find darker areas sometimes look muddy when printed so I always try to lighten the image so more detail can be seen when printed.
Free motion quilting and various shades of thread help me create the visual I am looking for in the finished piece. I hope you like it.
